Rustic Urns utilize more rustic boards that previously would be culled and thrown away. We are changing this practice for environmental issues and better optimization of a cherished resource. These urns are crafted with wood that has blemishes, discolorations, and wild grain features.

Wooden Urns

Elegantly crafted in native Walnut and Cherry with a single person in mind, our Wooden Urns are handmade within the tranquil environment of our monastery. Each is blessed by a monk to sanctify it as a final resting place and to provide a source of comfort and consolation to those left behind. Each urn includes a removable keepsake cross. This cross may be engraved for an additional cost.

The name of each person buried in one of our caskets or urns is inscribed in our Memorial Book placed in the chapel at Trappist Caskets.

As a living memorial, a tree seedling is planted in the monastic forest on the Abbey grounds as our way to honor your loved one and to give back to the earth. This planting is consecrated with a special blessing.

A Mass is celebrated in memory of those who use one of our blessed vessels for their final repose.
