Notre Dame Walnut Urn Package

Trappist Caskets wooden urns are beautifully crafted using solid Walnut. Much of the wood is taken from our 1200 acre forest which has been a part of New Melleray Abbey for over 150 years. Our way of life is grounded in prayer and it is reflected in our approach to the process we follow when constructing our urns and caskets. We begin with only the highest quality wood available, looking for boards that have the most distinctive grain. Long ago craftsmen used dovetail corners when working with wood in order to strengthen it, and we use this same time-honored joinery method to construct our urns and premium caskets. Once assembled, several coats of clear lacquer are applied, bringing out the rich Walnut grain.
